Is your online marketing so quiet it's deafening you?

And what does that mean anyway?

Is your absence from marketing online bothering you because you have no system(s) in place yet, no website to convert into sales, no profiles set up on social media. While you may want all these things, you may feel you don't know how, or what to do, to get started let alone how to find clients to pay you for your skills and products. Or, perhaps you're that person who tries to do everything yourself and has no time left over to work on your business.

Frustrated? You know you need to be marketing online, you have little or no marketing budget and wonder, "Which comes first, the chicken or the egg? Where am I going to get the money to pay someone to build my website?" or "Where can I find a coach who can help me get all my systems in place, including a website?"

All of it seems to be screaming at you to get something done!

We know many small business owners find themselves asking these questions, and more, and feel frustrated or overwhelmed with balancing running their business and getting it all done.

Christine and Christine have both experienced these frustrations - with their own businesses and then their clients - and that's why they've joined forces to help you sift through the noise.

Here's a little bit about each of them...

Christine Till

A few years ago Christine Till found herself laid off without any immediate job openings in sales and marketing, her expertise. So, scary as it was, with the help of her mentors and coaches, she started her own marketing business.

The first thing she did was look at her strengths in order to discover what she was already doing that was value to potential clients.

That part was easy. Aside from the initial feelings of devastation, Christine wondered where she was going to find the funding to build the website she  needed to help build her brand. She felt she needed to have the site to carry her blog. Little did she know that the podcasts she had started to record and publish were the blog!

When Christine began podcasting interviews about what inspired business people and authors to get their start, not only was it a wonderful way to learn and cultivate her business, it was also a way to brand herself. She soon discovered that each time she posted her podcast, she was building her brand and soon became known as the Marketing Mentress.

Her desire to help others in similar situations to her own resulted in her first book, Fired at Fifty: Stop looking for work and discover what you were meant to do." The book is full of free tips to help solopreneurs. Christine also contributed to Office for One by Christina Hamlett.

LinkedIn has become a major part of Christine's arsenal. She has discovered it to be the most professional business platform on the internet; it's where people go to do business. Using her background, she has discovered how to use this amazing platform and now gets most of her business through LinkedIn marketing.

Christine Unterthiner

Christine Unterthiner is a graphic designer with a passion for making people look good. Much of what she does includes helping businesses brand themselves. Her favourite part of that is getting to know her clients through a discovery session. The sessions uncover why clients are doing what they’re doing and who they’re doing it for. She finds it a lovely way to get to know her clients and for them to discover and sometimes re-discover why they started their business in the first place.

Christine entered design through the printing industry. Working for an oil and gas journal in Calgary, she not only learned the ins and outs of writing, printing and publishing, she discovered she had a knack for design.

Moving to the West Coast in 1990, Christine got an amazing position with the Communications and Marketing Team at Douglas College. While there, she had the privilege of being part of the re-branding process – another great learning experience.

While still at Douglas, Christine became Alumni Officer, using her talents to promote the Association as well as raise funds and organize events. She later went on to run a production management company with a friend.  One of their proudest moments was saving a client over $30,000 annually in production and print related costs.

Fast forward to the summer of 1996 and you find Christine hanging out her shingle. After starting her own design firm, she soon found herself helping clients answer the question, "What is my brand" and here we are!
